And Then the Earth Shook: NOW Defends a Conservative Woman
Several women’s and children’s advocacy groups have rallied to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s defense, but it was the left-leaning National Organization of Women’s comments that surprised me the most:
The National Organization of Women also blasted Letterman for inappropriate "jokes" on its Web site Thursday.
"Comedians in search of a laugh should really know better than to snicker about men having sex with teenage girls (or young women) less than half their age," NOW said.

Confused by Palin and Don’t Know Why…
Liberals continue to have difficulty with Sarah Palin. It is funny how, to a liberal Palin opponent, even a “positive” becomes a “negative.” From the Financial Times article linked below:
“Contrary to her promises, she has taken no initiatives to restrict abortion rights or to introduce the teaching of creationism in schools.”
Now, this liberal writer doesn’t want to restrict abortion rights or see creationism taught, and for Palin’s “lack of initiative” this reporter would normally praise her.
But, no; instead the writer criticizes Palin for her failure to keep a promise. So this writer would prefer that Palin remain true to her fundamentalist Christian beliefs? I doubt it.
Liberals are confused because they are the sons and daughters of the “father of confusion.”
Palin is a true threat; not in herself but in what she represents.

Sarah Palin strikes back at critics
A Brit reporter’s take on last night’s speech by Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin. It’s a great read! An excerpt:
From the moment she walked on stage in this cavernous bear pit, bandbox smart in cream jacket, trim black skirt and black heels, she proved that John McCain knew exactly what he was doing when he picked her as running mate.
Hair piled into a slight beehive – more Sarah White House than Amy Winehouse – she blinked and smiled behind her geeky spectacles as the vast crowd went ballistic.
She’s a moose-hunting mum of five with a sledge-load of problems behind her own front door that workaday Americans can relate to.
