Presidential debate: The claims vs. the facts

The AP did a little fact-checking after last night’s debate. Both candidates played a little fast and loose with the facts, although none could be called major misrepresentations.

Some facts got lost when Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain confronted each other over the financial crisis, Iraq, the oil industry and more in the first presidential debate of the 2008 general election.
