Man gets 2 years for assaulting pregnant mail carrier for pot package

A 35-year-old Lithonia, GA man will serve two years in federal prison for assaulting a mail carrier who happened to be pregnant. Hajja Kenyatta Martin was angry that he had missed the delivery of a package. When he chased down the carrier to retrieve it, she refused to give it up because Martin couldn’t prove his identity.

When later arrested, Martin admitted he took the package because it contained marijuana, U.S. Attorney David Nahmias said in a statement.
