If you don’t think that the Democrats in Congress will go nuts with your pocketbook should they achieve irresistible majorities in the House and Senate and Obama in the White House, just listen to Barney Frank in this CNBC interview. Like Obama and his “spread the wealth” comment to “Joe the Plumber,” Frank was unable to conceal his glee at the thought of unfettered access to your wallet:
“At this point, there needs to be a focus on a uh, an immediate increase in spending and I think this is a time when deficit fear has to take a second, uh, second seat. I do think this is a time for a very important kind of, dose of cajunism (?). Yes, I believe, later on there should be tax increases. Speaking personally, I think there are a lot of very rich people out there whom we can tax at a point down the road and recover some of this money.”
