There’s the headline that you’ll never see (except here, I guess, to prove my point). Compare the public conduct of the two groups– one espousing liberal, left-wing principles and the other conservative, right-wing principles– and you will have all of the information that you need to cast your vote in November 2012.

Show me someone who still supports the “Occupy Wall Street” mob and I’ll show you someone who’s never worked for a living, paid a bill, earned enough to pay income tax…. or had their car crapped on.

So, Michael, how much is “too much”? At what point does earning an income become irrational theft?

Even worse, the photos became fodder for pedophiles, one of whom threatened her when she stopped posting the images.

The most important point the girl’s story, one that parents cannot afford to miss, is that she was drawn into the online porn world little by little, one seemingly harmless step at a time. From the AJC:

Why send naked photos? They are teenagers, and therefore short in the judgment department. Girlfriends and boyfriends send each other photos as tokens of their intimacy; or one pressures the other to do so. Friends at a slumber party might do it as a joke, as happened with seven teens in Forsyth County. Or an insecure girl in a Middle Georgia town might send photos to a “friend” online, to get the validation and approval she doesn’t find at her own school.

Wingfield may not be willing to continue the discussion, but your liberal friends may. Ask them to consider these questions, to which honest answers will prove most revealing:

• Political leanings and personal feelings aside, would you agree that the Constitution requires that the President be a natural-born U.S. citizen?
• Would you acknowledge that there is no statutory mechanism for the enforcement of that provision?
• Would you also acknowledge that it is the states, individually via the Electoral College, that elect the President and thereby have a legitimate interest in ensuring that candidates meet the constitutional requirements?
• Would you acknowledge that "birthers" are not a clan, tribe, culture, race, organization, team or club but simply individuals who insist that any President meet the minimum constitutional requirements?
• Would you admit that the term "birther" has no meaningful descriptive value, but was coined by supporters of the current President as a pejorative, designed to stifle debate and demonize those individuals expressing a legitimate concern?

Finally, pose the obvious, oft-asked question: who would be the "birthers" if it was a Republican President with the questionable lineage? Would you be willing to give him the same pass that you now demand for Obama?

I see the phrase all the time, usually posted by a teenager online. For some odd, unfathomable reason, young people feel compelled to document their every bowel movement on Facebook and Twitter (although a growing number of adults suffer from the same malady). On all too many occasions, the best that the acne-plagued adolescent can muster is “I’m bored.”

“I’m bored” is the cry of the ignorant, the uninspired and the unmotivated… an admission that one is just taking up space. Personally, I have more pride and self-worthiness than to announce to the world that I can’t find a single thing to occupy my mind.

If “I’m bored” is a plea for help, I’m not listening. I am not responsible for anyone’s inability to entertain themselves. Some will tell you that “bright” children become bored by the lack of a “challenge.” How sad it is that one, bright or dim, cannot figure out how to challenge himself; to activate his mind… to read a book, take a walk or, better yet, invest that “down time” in the life of another. If the child is so bright, why can’t he figure out how to entertain himself?

Sometimes, the two words are all that is posted, as if “I’m bored” says it all. More often, though, the teen is just too lazy to append a third word. Here’s a suggestion for the bored: kill a little time and agitate a few of those atrophied brain cells by simply putting a little more effort into your social networking “screed” (I’m being sarcastic… go look it up, son).

If you are bored while sitting at a computer, with the entire world and unlimited opportunity for learning at your fingertips, you’re in a sad state. Turn off the PC or put down the cell phone and go do something.

Go away, child. You bore me.
