Even if, despite the recent scandals involving top “global warming experts,” you still believe that the phenomena exists, is the change worth spending billions of your tax dollars and giving up some of the freedoms that you now enjoy?

The embattled ex-head of the research center at the heart of the Climate-gate scandal dropped a bombshell over the weekend, admitting in an interview with the BBC that there has been no global warming over the past 15 years.

The Post Office a Very Scary Model for Healthcare

A Washington Times editorial responds to President Obama’s reference to the U.S. Postal Service as an example of why private healthcare providers should not fear a “public option”—a healthcare insurance plan provided by government.

Said the President: “If you think about it, UPS and FedEx are doing just fine, right? No, they are. It’s the post office that’s always having problems.” From the editorial:

Despite numerous advantages that FedEx and UPS could only dream of having, the Postal Service loses money. In addition to direct subsidies, the Postal Service is exempt from paying state sales, property and income taxes. It uses some of the most expensive real estate in the country rent-free. Perhaps Mr. Obama has not noticed, but nobody else but the Postal Service is allowed to deliver regular first-class mail, and only the Postal Service has access to Americans’ mailboxes.

Guns at Obama Events: Can I Point Out the Obvious?

Would it be the epitome of hubris for me to point out, despite the fact that a dozen protestors showed up at Obama’s Phoenix event on Monday armed with handguns, rifles and even an AR-15, that nobody was shot and nobody died?

Wouldn’t that be proof, even in a situation where a liberty-loving American might be tempted to pop off a few rounds in anger and frustration, that the guns themselves are not dangerous? That you can actually take them out in public and nobody need die?

Phoenix police said the gun-toters at Monday’s event, including the man carrying an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle slung over his shoulder, didn’t need permits. No crimes were committed, and no one was arrested.
